HI Real Bride Faith

A fashion lover, 90s jams, Juicy tracksuits, and one of the most epic, iconic metallic reception moments you'll ever see! This wedding is equal parts fun and fabulous. 💛
Tell us about your wedding day and surrounding events! Where did it all go down? Did you have any particular inspiration or musts when choosing the location?
Our wedding day was a beautiful celebration of love, perfectly woven into the heart of Brooklyn. This place has shaped our journey together. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception, every moment unfolded at Liberty Warehouse, while I prepared for the big day with my family at the stunning 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. The festivities began on Friday with a lively welcome party at Luanna's Tavern in Cobble Hill, and we closed the wedding night out with an unforgettable after-party at San Pedro Inn in Red Hook.
Brooklyn means everything to us—it’s where we first moved in together, built a life across two apartments, and where our love continued to grow. We even got engaged here. It was only fitting that our wedding was celebrated in this place that holds our most cherished memories. New York City, our relationship, and this vibrant, magical borough were my inspirations. Every detail felt authentically us, and having all our friends and family together in the place where we’ve built our lives made it a day we’ll treasure forever.
How did you and your partner meet? What was the proposal like?
We met through friends when we were 23, and for a full year, we built a beautiful friendship before anything romantic ever blossomed. Slowly, that friendship turned into a crush, and before long, it became a love story filled with joy and meaning ever since. He’s not only my partner but my best friend, my family, and the love of my life.
The proposal was like a dream. It happened on the rooftop of the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. We walked from our first apartment in Brooklyn Heights under the guise of “grabbing drinks,” but as we reached the rooftop, he surprised me with the most breathtaking proposal, set against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline. And the surprises didn’t stop there—both of our families were waiting to celebrate with us. Soon after, all of our closest friends appeared one by one, having flown in from all over, thanks to his thoughtfulness. It was simply magical. His love and care for me are unmatched, and I feel unbelievably lucky to call him mine.
"The moment I laid eyes on the vintage Chanel, I was captivated. It was truly a work of art, and I called it my “Sofia Richie moment.”
Describe your Happy Isles dress and/or dresses! When did you know it was the one?
I’ve always had a deep love of fashion, especially anything unique, vintage, and truly special. When I first discovered Happy Isles, I knew I had to visit the salon to find something extraordinary for my wedding. And what I found was beyond my wildest dreams—two stunning dresses that completely transformed the vibe of my wedding looks.
The moment I laid eyes on the vintage Chanel, I was captivated. It was truly a work of art, and I called it my “Sofia Richie moment.” The dress exuded a timeless, classic elegance with its chic silhouette. I knew instantly that this was the piece I had to wear for our welcome party—it was the kind of dress you fall in love with and never stop adoring.
I wanted something bold and fun for the reception and after-party, a look that wasn’t traditional but felt iconic. Paris Hilton has always been one of my favorite style icons, and when I saw the vintage Whiting & Davis gold chain metal set, it was as if it was made for me. The early 2000s red-carpet glam it evoked was perfect for dancing and celebrating into the night. It was sparkly, playful, and completely embodied my personality. Both dresses brought a sense of magic to the weekend, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect reflection of my style.
What did your partner wear down the aisle, and did you share outfit pics before the big day?
He wore a stunning Enzo Custom tuxedo, featuring a crisp white jacket and elegant velvet loafers, embodying timeless sophistication. He looked absolutely breathtaking—handsome, refined, and undeniably special. Though he hadn’t seen my wedding gown or my gold after-party look before the big day, I couldn’t resist sharing my excitement about my vintage Chanel piece, and he shared my enthusiasm.
I had the joy of helping him choose his tux and attending his fittings to ensure every detail matched our vision for a black-tie Brooklyn affair. Seeing him dressed so perfectly for our day, knowing we had crafted these looks together, made everything feel that much more meaningful. He was, without a doubt, the most dashing man I’ve ever seen.
How did your guests respond to your outfit/s? Were there any standout reactions?
My friends and family were an endless source of love and support throughout the entire journey. They knew how much I dreamed of having a big bridal moment, with fun, bold outfits that truly reflected who I am. From the very beginning, they embraced my vision with so much joy and excitement, making every step of the way feel even more special.
I’m incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such an extraordinary community—a group of people who have always cheered me on, not only in life but in my fashion journey as well. Their sweet words and unwavering support made me feel even more confident in every look, and knowing they were by my side made everything that much more magical.
Where did you shop for accessories and how did you style your look/s?
I had a beautiful array of accessories that truly made my wedding weekend unforgettable. I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to my incredible Aunt Robin Beutel, who lent me the most stunning diamond earrings and necklace for my big day. Her pieces from her jewelry line, Devon Road Jewelry, were the perfect finishing touches—timeless, sparkling, and impossibly chic, they added just the right amount of elegance to my look.
My sister also played a special role, lending me the tennis bracelet she wore at her wedding, which I treasured as my “something borrowed” throughout the weekend. She also gifted me a gorgeous black, sparkly Jennifer Behr bow, which I wore with my vintage Chanel dress at the welcome party—a truly unforgettable accessory that felt so “me.”
"While I invested in a few pieces of my own, the most special accessories were those lent by my family and friends"
As for shoes, I went all out: black Jimmy Choos for the night before from Farfetch and Mach & Mach Cinderella-inspired heels for the wedding from Mytheresa. My best friend let me borrow gold Larroude platforms for the after-party, and my sister also let me borrow a vintage black Chanel purse for the welcome party.
While I invested in a few pieces of my own, the most special accessories were those lent by my family and friends. Their generosity and love helped pull everything together. I couldn’t be more grateful for their part in making each look feel so personal and meaningful.
What was the most memorable aspect of your dress shopping experience? Is there anything you would like to highlight or share with other brides considering an appointment at Happy Isles?
My experience at Happy Isles was nothing short of magical. Having the entire salon to myself made me feel truly special as if the day had been designed just for me. The women at Happy Isles weren’t just kind—they were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, helping me craft the perfect looks for my wedding weekend. They went above and beyond, ensuring every detail felt intentional and unique.
For brides seeking something extraordinary, I can’t recommend Happy Isles enough. Their selection is filled with one-of-a-kind pieces that radiate individuality and elegance. On a day as special as your wedding, it’s so important to not only look your best but to feel like the most authentic version of yourself. I didn’t want to wear anything that anyone could pick up off the street—I wanted something that reflected my personality and made me feel like the ultimate fashion bride. And that’s exactly what Happy Isles delivered. Each piece was unique, timeless, and unforgettable, making me feel like the best version of myself on the most important day of my life.
Okay. Your HI dress is a person. What is their name and describe their perfect date!
If my vintage Chanel dress were a person, her name would be Colette—timeless, elegant, and always turning heads. Her perfect date would be at a candlelit rooftop dinner in Paris, overlooking the Eiffel Tower, sipping champagne and discussing art, fashion, and all things chic. Colette would be the epitome of classic sophistication, with an air of mystery that leaves her date completely enchanted.
Now, if my gold chain metal set were a person, her name would be Vivienne—bold, playful, and always the life of the party. Her ideal date would be something wild and fun, like a night out in Ibiza, dancing under the stars, glitter in her hair, and cocktails in hand. She’d love the thrill of the unexpected, and by the end of the night, she’d be best friends with everyone in the club, radiating confidence and sparkle.
Getting serious for a second. Did you ever feel like you were breaking the mold or challenging expectations while wedding planning? What were some ways you stayed true to yourself during what can be an emotionally complex experience?
I stayed true to myself and never strayed from what genuinely made me happy. While there are many traditions and standard wedding customs, I embraced those that resonated with me and let go of the ones that didn’t. Knowing how easily I can feel overwhelmed, it was important for me to create an experience where I felt comfortable, joyful, and surrounded by the love and energy I wanted. Every part of the wedding and celebrations reflected this intention.
Weddings are grand productions, but amidst the planning, I made it a priority to focus on what truly brought me joy. I didn’t aim to break the mold—I simply remained thoughtful and specific about the atmosphere I wanted to create. I cared deeply about the happiness I wanted to radiate and the love I hoped everyone would feel. It was about crafting an experience that felt like us—filled with joy, warmth, and authenticity.
They say every wedding has a “wild card” moment. Did anything unexpected happen or surprise you during planning or day-of?
Everything, almost miraculously, fell into place perfectly. I was surrounded by the most amazing team—from my loving family and our brilliant photographer to the talented makeup artist and hairstylists who brought my vision to life. Our exceptional wedding planners at Eventful Days made the entire process seamless. And the staff at Liberty Warehouse were nothing short of extraordinary. Their professionalism, kindness, and meticulous organization ensured that every detail was flawless. It felt like every person involved was a piece of the puzzle that made our wedding day magical, and I couldn’t have imagined it going any other way. It was a dream come true.

"After we smashed the glass and celebrated with a kiss, we joyfully walked down the aisle together as husband and wife, to the electrifying rhythm of "Praise You" by Fatboy Slim—our ultimate 90s jam. The joyous energy of that song perfectly encapsulated our love and the celebration we had just shared."
If you had to choose your single best wedding day memory, what would it be?
I will forever cherish the memories of our ceremony. From the moment my brother-in-law, who is also my best friend, walked me down the aisle, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and support. Our best friend, who officiated the wedding, is a remarkable speaker, and his heartfelt words resonated with every guest, capturing the essence of our love story beautifully.
My mother-in-law’s reading of a touching poem added a profound layer of emotion to the ceremony, making each moment even more special. Having our siblings by our side was a dream come true, a reflection of the love that surrounds us. When I looked into Alex’s eyes as I approached him, I was filled with such joy that it brought tears to both our eyes.
After we smashed the glass and celebrated with a kiss, we joyfully walked down the aisle together as husband and wife, to the electrifying rhythm of "Praise You" by Fatboy Slim—our ultimate 90s jam. The joyous energy of that song perfectly encapsulated our love and the celebration we had just shared. I will carry the memories of our ceremony with me forever. I am immensely grateful to everyone who helped make that day so unforgettable.
