Last Thursday, we unveiled an extra special project we've been tinkering on over here at HI HQ: The Happy Isles Resort Trunk Show for Moda OperandiWe thought we'd share some standouts and their moments on the runway.
Click to shop or see the whole collection over at Moda Operandi!
Left: Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2004 Draped Midi Dress. Right: Ungaro Spring 2004 Runway Show.
This fabulous one-shoulder number from Emanuel Ungaro is begging to be taken to your bachelorette party in Miami. Pair with gold platforms and plenty of body shimmer.

Left: Halston Spring 1980 One-Shoulder Silk Maxi Dress. Right: Halston 1980 RTW Runway.

This 1980 Halston number looks like a breath of fresh air. Perfect for a summer dinner party hostess or a cheeky little Grecian getaway...

Left: Isaac Mizrahi Spring 2008 Patterned Silk Gown. Right: Photo of the gown documented in Isaac Mizrahi's self titled book of his work from 2016.
This Isaac Mizrahi is the moment. We fell in love with this one when she arrived at the salon. It's hard to part with her, but she deserves to be worn someplace sunny and chic. Just promise you'll send pics!

Left: Mary McFadden 80s Strapless Plisse Silk-Blend Gown. Right: Mary McFadden gowns in the Vogue February 1986.

It can't be a Happy Isles trunk show without an iconic Mary McFadden gown. This strapless style was featured in Vogue, where you can see the peekaboo bow back. Swoon!

Left: Richard Tyler Couture 2000s Striped Silk Gown. Right: Richard Tyler 2000s Runway.
Richard Tyler is the epitome of late 90s/early 00s chic. This candy-striped silk gown features a bow-bustle back, making it an absolute stunner.
Left: Dolce & Gabbana Spring 1997 Printed Silk Midi Dress. Right: Dolce & Gabbana Runway Spring 1997.
We love the way this sheer Dolce dress is styled on the runway. Play into the va-va-voom vibe and pair it with a high-waisted brief and leopard heels.
Left: Chloe Fall 2004 Sheer Chiffon Midi Dress. Right: Chloe Fall 2004 Runway.
This dress from the iconic Phoebe Philo era at Chloe is such a sweet "something blue" for your bridal shower.
Left: Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Spring 2005 Corseted Lamé Midi Dress. Right: Vivienne Westwood Spring 2005 Runway show.
Opt for something with a little of that Westwood punk glam with this corseted mini. It's cocktail party ready - messenger bag styling optional...

Left: Roberto Cavalli Resort 2008 Python-Printed Silk Gown. Right: Roberto Cavalli Resort 2008 presentation.

Calling all wedding guests! This halter gown from Roberto Cavalli is the thing to wear for that European wedding you have on your calendar this summer. All she's missing is a killer tan.

Left: Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2008 Animal-Print Gown. Right: Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2008 presentation.

And, of course - the bride deserves a Cavalli moment, too! The cut and drape of this animal print gown from 2008 is on another level. The perfect bold rehearsal dinner look to start the weekend off with a roar.

Left: Ralph Lauren Spring 2008 Floral Silk Maxi Dress. Right: Ralph Lauren Spring 2008 Runway Show.

And last but not least, this tropical-inspired halter gown from Ralph Lauren. The print reminds us of vintage Hawaiian prints from the '60s, but the sleek is oh-so modern.
